I am a bookworm. I love reading any books, especially ones about successful people or anything by Jodi Piccoult. So for Christmas, my Grandma gave me Steve Jobs' biography. I have had it for nearly a month now but as it is over 600 pages, it kind of intimidated me.
Last Tuesday I started reading it and have found myself getting really absorbed into the story and his life. So last night I did something I hadn't done since primary school - I read the same book for six hours straight.
During Primary School, I quite found myself unable to put a book down in time for bedtime, so I always had a torch next to my bed that I would use to read a book under my doona until I was literally about to pass out from being tired. But when I got to high school I realised that lack of sleep made me unable to focus for an entire day and I gave up doing it. So yesterday, I decided that I would unwind before bed and started reading the book at 9pm last night. I kept reading (using my lamp - I now have my own room) until just before 3am when I was about to fall asleep.
This in hindsight was probably not the best idea considering I had to be up at 8am as I had things to do today, but it was fun, and I am about to start reading the book again once I sign off here!
Sleep tight!
